CCTV Installation Cost Guide for Homes & Shops in Faisalabad

If you are planning CCTV for your home or shop in Faisalabad, the first question is usually the same: how much will it cost? The honest answer is that there is no single fixed price. A small home system and a busy shop system are two very different jobs, and the final cost depends on what you actually need — how many cameras, which type, how much recording you want to keep, and how the installation is done.

This guide explains each of those cost factors in plain words, so you can tell a fair quote from a cheap one. And because every property is different, the only way to get an exact price is a site survey — which we do free in Faisalabad, Islamabad, Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal and Multan.

1. What decides the cost of CCTV installation?

Five things decide most of the price. Change any one of them, and the quote changes with it.

  • Number of cameras. A home usually needs 4 cameras to cover the gate, entrance, parking and backyard. A shop or office often needs 8 or more — entrance, cash counter, sales floor, storage and back door. Every extra camera adds a camera, cable and a recorder channel.
  • Camera type. Dome cameras suit indoor areas and shops. Bullet cameras cover gates, boundary walls and parking. PTZ cameras cover large open areas like factories. The type you need depends on the place, not the price list.
  • IP or analog. IP cameras with an NVR give sharper images and smart detection, and they cost more upfront. Analog HD systems with a DVR are easier on the budget and work well for smaller sites.
  • Resolution and night vision. 4MP is enough for most homes and shops. 8MP (4K) is for wide areas or where number plates matter. Good night vision matters more than most people think — most incidents happen after dark.
  • Recorder and storage. The NVR or DVR and the hard drive hold your recordings. Most homes and shops keep 15 to 30 days of recording, and more days means a bigger hard drive.

2. Home vs shop: what changes?

A home system is usually simpler. Four cameras, one recorder, a few weeks of storage, and the job is done in a day. A shop is different — more cameras, longer cable runs, a cash counter that needs a clear close-up, and storage that must hold a month of busy footage. Offices and factories add more still: multiple floors, gates, warehouses and staff entrances. The bigger the property, the more the survey matters. A quote given without seeing the site is only a guess.

Our CCTV installation service covers homes, shops, offices and factories, and every job starts with a survey so the quote matches the property.

3. Installation: what should be included?

A proper installation is more than fixing cameras on a wall. It should include a site survey first, then camera placement that covers blind spots, neat and protected cabling, recorder setup, mobile app configuration so you can watch from your phone, and a short training session so your family or staff can use the system. If a quote skips any of these, ask why.

4. Watch out for hidden costs

The cheapest quote is not always the cheapest system. Thin cables fail in summer heat. A recorder with a small hard drive stops recording after a few days. Cameras with no warranty leave you paying twice. Before you compare prices, check three things: does the quote include installation and configuration, do the cameras and recorder carry the manufacturer's warranty, and will the installer answer the phone after the job is done? We offer service support and annual maintenance contracts (AMC) so the system keeps working year after year.
